Event Terms and Conditions

In registering for an event, workshop, conference, forum or activity hosted by the The Brilliance Project, participants, delegates and speakers agree to the following terms and conditions:

Registration

All applications to register for the event are subject to availability and you making full payment. The Brilliance Project reserves the right to refuse any application to register, attend or participate at the event. The Brilliance Project’s decision is final and not subject to challenge. The Brilliance Project is not required to provide reasons for refusal of an application. All fully paid registrations may be transferable to other persons from the same member organisation. Transfer requests must be made in writing to the The Brilliance Project via email at hello@thebrillianceproject.com, and must include the full name of replacement person, their title, contact phone number and email address. All other registration details will be assigned to the new person unless otherwise specified.

Privacy

The Brilliance Project has a comprehensive Privacy Policy that can be followed for any information provided to The Brilliance Project. Specifically, your contact details will be used to compile a delegate list that will be used by: The Brilliance Project event organisers; third party event organisers; venues and accommodation provider for the purpose of room bookings (if applicable); sponsors; and parties associated with related events. If you are a speaker, your presentation documents may be loaded to The Brilliance Project website or provided to delegates to view after the event. Should you not wish for your details to be used for these purposes, please contact The Brilliance Project at hello@thebrillianceproject.com.

Intellectual Property

All rights in all presentations, documentation and materials published or otherwise made available as part of the Conference are owned by The Brilliance Project or are included with the permission of the owner of the rights. All such material is protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws. You may only use the materials and content for your own private non-commercial use. No part of the materials and content covered by copyright should be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, transmitted, or republished in any form or by any means without the express written permission of The Brilliance Project.

Photography, Media, and Recording

As a registered participant to an event hosted by The Brilliance Project, you irrevocably authorize and grant The Brilliance Project to:

  • record your image and voice on photographs, film and/or video tape, for audio and visual production. (the Recording)
  • edit the Recording into a photo gallery / short film / promotional material / webinar (which may include other recordings and material);
  • use your name and likeness, voice or other information concerning you; and
  • screen or place online (including on social media) the Recording.

You hereby release The Brilliance Project from any infringement or violation of personal and / or property rights of any sort whatsoever based upon the use of the Recording.

You acknowledge that The Brilliance Project owns and shall own all rights, title, and interest (including copyright) in the Recording.

You further acknowledge that The Brilliance Project is not obliged to use the Recording.

You warrant that you have full power to enter into this Release and that the terms of this Release do not in any way conflict with any existing commitment on your part.

You understand you will receive no monies for this Recording.

While under no obligation to do so, The Brilliance Project will consider any reasonable request not to use or to stop using a particular Recording. Such requests should be made in writing to hello@thebrillianceproject.com.

Should you not wish to grant The Brilliance Project these rights, please contact The Brilliance Project at hello@thebrillianceproject.com, at least two weeks prior to the event.

Disclaimer

At the time of registration, The Brilliance Project provided the most recent information available and the delegate and/or speaker accept that the content and/or the delivery of the event can change beyond the control of The Brilliance Project. The Brilliance Project will not take any responsibility for any errors, omissions and changes to the program or content of the event. The Brilliance Project reserves the right to make changes as it deems necessary without penalty and in such situations, no refunds, part refunds or alternative offers shall be made.

  1. The Brilliance Project reserves the right to update the Disclaimer and Terms and Conditions without notice.
  2. The Brilliance Project cannot control all content published or disseminated at the event. You may find other delegates’ or participants’ communications, graphics, audio files or other information inappropriate, offensive, harmful, inaccurate, dishonest or misleading and/or deceptive, however you alone are solely responsible for your interaction with other delegates and agree to act responsibly and exercise caution, common sense and safety while in attendance at the event.
  3. The Brilliance Project, it's Directors, employees, servants, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any losses, damages, liabilities, claims or expenses whatsoever arising out of or referable to the event.

Registration

If a person is registering on behalf of a delegate/s it is the responsibility of that person to notify the delegate of the terms and conditions of registering, for which they will be agreeing to on the behalf of the delegate. Responsibility also includes providing full details of the delegate’s/s’ registration details as confirmed.

Cancellations & Refunds

If you can no longer attend the event, you may cancel your registration by providing written notice to The Brilliance Project via email at hello@thebrillianceproject.com. The Brilliance Project's refund policy is as follows:

  • Cancellations made in writing and received more than 60 days before the event will receive refund of registration fee less a 10% administration fee
  • Cancellations made in writing and received between 30 and 60 days prior to the event will receive 50% refund of registration fee.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the event will not be entitled to any refund.
  • No refunds will be given in respect of any non-attendance.

Fees and payments

Payment to attend the event must be made prior to the event starting, unless otherwise agreed with The Brilliance Project. Payment is to be made by credit card or via other means agreed to by The Brilliance Project.

Indemnity

Should, for any reason outside the control of The Brilliance Project, the venue or speakers change or the event be cancelled, The Brilliance Project will endeavour to reschedule. In this instance the delegate will indemnify and hold The Brilliance Project harmless from and against any and all costs, damages and expenses. The Brilliance Project does not accept responsibility for, and the delegate indemnifies The Brilliance Project against, any costs, charges or fines incurred by the delegate in the process of attending the event. Delegate registration to an event operated by The Brilliance Project is subject to these terms and conditions, your registration indicates acceptance of this indemnity.

Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable in damages or have the right to terminate this Agreement for any delay or default in performing hereunder if such delay or default is caused by conditions beyond its control including, but not limited to Acts of God, Government restrictions (including the denial or cancellation of any export or other necessary license), wars, insurrections and/or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the party whose performance is affected.

Entire Agreement

Subject to any amendments specified in subsequent event registration forms or terms and conditions, the event registration form and these terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior discussions, negotiations and agreements in relation to the event.

Security

Updates to our privacy statement

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically and without prior notice to reflect changes in our online information practices. We will post a prominent notice on this Website to notify you of any significant changes to our Privacy Statement and indicate at the top of the statement when it was most recently updated.
